Liberal group ‘Credo Action’ wants Debbie Wasserman Schultz out as DNC chair.  They do not, however, want her particularly out for the most obvious reason: i.e., she’s a galloping disaster on stilts when it comes to getting or keeping Democrats elected. No, they want Debbie Wasserman Schultz out because she has committed blasphemy by insinuating that millennials are not sufficiently devout when it comes to the Leftist sacrament of abortion.

This is one time when I don’t really mind that the media hasn’t covered this particular issue as thoroughly as it might have: we’re deep in the weeds of liberal theological esoterica here.  Essentially, Schultz was trying to explain why kids today are more pro-life than they were before abortion became a legal option for liberals*; and she decided to call young woman ‘complaisant‘ on the subject.  This is, of course, rank heresy in a party that worships youth culture in a kind of group narcissism that has to be seen to be believed, which is pretty much why a bunch of liberals freaked out about it.

Enter Credo, who is upset about this (I will not link to them, but the first Hill link has a link to their screed), and the way that the Democrats have turned their primary into a coronation process (like they can do better than Hillary**); and supposedly they’re also upset that DWS is a corrupt suckweasel (dude: Democratic politician), and they can’t stand the fact that she doesn’t trust the Iranians (broken clock, hey?), and that she… had the DNC partner with New Hampshire’s WMUR to do a New Hampshire debate.  Which last seems odd, given that people were upset that the DNC later kicked out WMUR, largely because doing so would benefit Hillary Clinton.  Ach, well, when it comes to the Activist Left internal consistency is something to happens to other people, I suppose.

In short: we’re not the only people who are having internal tensions right now.  In fact, ours are kind of mild when compared to the Other Side’s.  They’re so messed up that they’re keeping a chairwoman who has presided over most of the greatest state- and local-level political retreat in recent American history. She frankly should have been fired in 2013, when the DNC failed to make significant gains in a Presidential election year; and even if you think that one lackluster performance isn’t enough to justify the axe there’s still the little matter of 2014.  Mind you, I’m pleased as punch that Debbie Wasserman Schultz is still running the DNC for 2016. I just am a little bemused that nobody on the Left seems to want to admit the real reasons why it’s a disaster that she is.

*Yes, the answer is indeed fairly obvious when you put it that way.

**And yes, Hillary’s horrible.
