Paris, 28 January 2016 – Thousands of Iranians holding pictures of President-elect of
the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), Maryamajor rally in Rajavi, at a m Paris, rejected as a ‘myth’ the notion that Iranian President Hassan Rouhani is a
“moderate”. The protestors condemned the rising wave of executions in Iran in
Rouhani’s tenure (some 2200) and Tehran’s intervention in Syria in support of Syrian
dictator Bashar-al-Assad and the massacre of the Syrian people. They demanded that
improvement of relations with Tehran be predicated on a halt to executions.
