Hillary Clinton is a marvel. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a person so brazenly lie at times, know she’s lying and know the person she’s speaking to knows she’s lying. Her problem is, she’s not very good at it. Bill Clinton had the ability to make you think, at least for a moment, he was telling the truth. Any time Hillary speaks, BS detectors go off around the country.

In last night’s town hall “debate”, Hillary was asked about the $675,000 she was paid in speaking fees by Goldman Sachs. The video is below. Her first part of the answer is amusing when she didn’t mean for it to be, but listen to what she says after that. I have the transcript below the video:

One of the things that Sen. Sanders points to and a lot of your critics point to is you made three speeches for Goldman Sachs. You were paid $675,000 for three speeches. Was that a mistake? I mean was that a bad error in judgment?

CLINTON: Look. I made speeches to lots of groups. I told them what I thought. I answered questions.

COOPER: But did you have to be paid $675,000?

CLINTON: Well, I don’t know. That’s what they offered, so…

(LAUGHTER)

You know every secretary of State that I know has done that.

COOPER: But (inaudible) for office they’re not running for an office…

CLINTON: Well, I didn’t know…

COOPER: … have known.

CLINTON: To be honest I wasn’t — I wasn’t committed to running. I didn’t know whether I would or not.

COOPER: You didn’t think you were going to run for president again?

Not even Anderson Cooper bought that line of nonsense.

Give me a break. Hillary Clinton has been committed to running for President ever since Bill was elected in 1992. She didn’t carpetbag her way to New York just to win a Senate seat.

She thought her ticket was punched back in 2007 when a collapsing economy was her train ride to the White House.

A guy named Barack Obama got in the way. So she took the job of Secretary of State to pad her resume. She screwed that up but didn’t care because she was on easy street for the nomination. Now that a unknown 74 year old socialist from the state of Vermont is on her heels, she is downplaying expectations.

She also thinks people are stupid and is now attempting to convince us running for President this time around was something she hadn’t been considering until just recently.
