(VIDEO) Killer Mike Is Right. A Uterus Is Not A Reason To Vote For Hillary Clinton

This is an election year so full of delicious irony that it leaves a blogger bleary-eyed from sleeplessness and tears. This chapter comes to you from the Democrat primary.
A spokesman for Democratic presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders on Wednesday dismissed as “gotcha politics” a controversy over comments by rapper Killer Mike, a frequent Sanders surrogate, about whether a uterus alone qualifies someone to be president.
Killer Mike, whose real name is Michael Render, was among several African-American supporters who spoke ahead of the Vermont senator at a raucous rally here at the campus of Morehouse College, a historically black institution.
Before we move on let’s savor an image of the principals in this saga:
If, a year ago, someone had told me that a septuagenarian Jewish bolshevik would have a black rapper as his surrogate I would have told that person to check themselves into the nearest psych ward. FAST. But that’s where we are.
Let me say, up front, I am not a connoisseur of rap. I loathe it. I’m with Dave Barry
I hate rap music, which to me sounds like a bunch of angry men shouting, possibly because the person who was supposed to provide them with a melody never showed up.
So I’m not sure if this Killer Mike is significant of if he’s just another C-list wannabe celebrity. For that matter I’m not sure why anyone cares who shot Tupac Shakur or Biggie Smalls or why or even if that was a bad idea.
Anyway here is Killer Mike in full rhetorical bloom.
The Atlanta rapper, who has helped Mr. Sanders in his attempts to garner support from black voters, said that he was quoting from a recent conversation with a feminist as he pointedly attacked Hillary Clinton. While introducing Mr. Sanders to a crowd of 4,800 people, Killer Mike, whose real name is Michael Render, implied that Mrs. Clinton wanted to take a slower approach to fixing issues of racial inequality.
“When people tell us, ‘Hold on, wait awhile.’ And that’s what the other Democrat is telling you,” Killer Mike said. “ ‘Hold on, Black Lives Matter. Just wait awhile.’ ‘Hold on, young people in this country, just wait awhile.’ And then, and then she — she get good, she have your own mama come to you. Your own mama say to you, ‘Well, you’re a woman.’ ”
He continued, referring to an activist, “But I talked to Jane Elliott a few weeks ago, and Jane said, ‘Michael, a uterus doesn’t qualify you to be president of the United States. You have to be — you have to have policy that’s reflective of social justice.’ ”
The rapper went on to say that paying women fair wages, treating minorities fairly, ending the war on drugs and making sure children could go to college counted as social justice.
I’m sure I’d have a lot of policy differences on how to accomplish his agenda, but, as a Roman Catholic and as a human being I find nothing in that last paragraph that I disagree with. Likewise, I agree with him that there is no unique body of knowledge that a woman brings to a political race by virtue of her gender that makes her more qualified, or even as qualified, as a man. Likewise for race. Or ethnicity.
Predictably the female-superiority/misandrist left is in a high hover:
You don’t have to like Hillary Clinton, but it’s simply and demonstrably untrue that she has never accomplished anything in her life but growing a uterus. This should seem obvious, and yet these body part-obsessed accusations of female unworthiness have become a standard issue Bernie Bro jab on social media. And now the has-a-vagina-but-nothing-else-to-offer claim has been elevated to the actual Bernie Sanders campaign, courtesy of rapper Killer Mike.
At a campaign event for Sanders, Killer Mike made a lengthy speech where he casually argued that “a uterus doesn’t qualify you to be president of the United States.” It’s something that female Clinton supporters get to hear every day, especially if they dare poke their heads out on Twitter or Facebook, and it continues to be a confirmation of nothing but the sexism of the person spouting this stupid line.
It’s really a double-edged sword of sexist cruelty, both reducing Clinton to her gender and insulting the intelligence of the woman on the receiving end of this slur by assuming that she, being some dumb broad, just mechanically sees another lady and goes, “Me vote lady!”
This is dumb inasmuch as it pertains to Hillary Clinton. Hillary Clinton has made a point of basing her campaign on the fact that she is, allegedly, a woman. She is the candidate that has a campaign video called “44 Boys is too many.” The 44, of course, referring to the number of presidents. (She counts Obama as a male but I’m sure he falls into one of the 60+ other Facebook approved genders.)

Just a week ago, the nation’s putzfrau, Madeleine Albright, invoked eternal damnation on women who did not support Hillary Clinton.
As I said at the time:
Yet here is Hillary Clinton running for president on the theory that because of her (alleged) genitalia that it is her turn to be president. No mention of competence, or character, or experience. And for damned good reason. She has been monumentally incompetent at every endeavor in life other than being able to stay married to Bill Clinton. She is a notorious liar and unindicted felon. Her experience has been given to her by men, not acquired based on her own merit. Clinton’s life and career and privilege have been so removed from that of the average woman that any man on the street understands more about the challenges facing women than does Hillary Clinton.
Recognizing and publicly acknowledging the shameful act that Clinton is pulling is not misogynistic. It is not offensive to women. What should be offensive to women is Hillary Clinton’s bald assertion that her lack of integrity, her incompetence, and her criminality should be ignored because she is a woman.
