Watch Hillary Clinton Basically Say Benghazi Victim Family Member Is A Liar
“At long last, have you left no sense of decency?” It is a famous question asked of Senator Joe McCarthy by Joseph Welch during the Army–McCarthy hearings in 1954. Welch was referring to McCarthy outing a young attorney as being part of the National Lawyers Guild which J. Edgar Hoover designated as a communist front.
The same could apply to Hillary Clinton who has no issue brazenly lying whenever she wants to about whatever subject she’s asked. She does this because a friendly media is so caught up in “FIRST WOMAN PRESIDENT” theme that it simply does not matter. The deaths of four Americans in Benghazi is infuriating, not because there was some convoluted plot by Hillary Clinton and others to deny them help and then cover it up. It can largely be blamed on bureaucratic incompetence in all areas – even the CIA – where politics still dominates.
That said, the Obama administration – including President Obama, Susan Rice and Hillary Clinton – was emphatic about the Benghazi attacks being about a video. There was no caution. There was no, “This is what we know now, but it could change.” It was about a video and nothing more. The spun this lie for weeks until the wheels started to fall off.
Now Hillary Clinton wants us to believe that it was all the “fog of war” and nothing was definitive at the time. Rather than admit she was wrong, she’s happy to blame the family members of victims because they chose to believe her. Watch as she basically says they’re liars:
Hillary: “You know, look, I feel a great deal of sympathy for the families of the four brave Americans that we lost at Benghazi,” Clinton said. “And I certainly can’t even imagine the grief that she has for losing her son. But she’s wrong. She’s absolutely wrong. I and everybody in the administration, all the people she named — the president, the vice president, [then-United Nations Ambassador] Susan Rice — we were scrambling to get information that was changing literally by the hour.”
“She’s absolutely wrong” = “She’s a liar.”
If the information was changing, why tell the family members it was about a video? Why tell them you were going to get the guy who made it? We know from emails Hillary sent the night of the attack to Chelsea that it was a planned terrorist attack and not some spontaneous event that took place over a video hardly anybody had seen?
This is pathetic and the media just lets her get away with it.
