Clinton “Not At All Worried” About FBI Email Investigation, But She Should Be

(Before It's News)

On Sunday, Hillary Clinton told Meet The Press that the FBI has not contacted her in regards to the ongoing investigation into her unsecured email servers during her time as Secretary of State.

“No, no, they haven’t,” Clinton said “But, you know, back in August, we made clear that I’m happy to answer any questions that anybody might have. And I stand by that.”

The FBI has, however, been in contact with former Clinton staffer, Bryan Pagliano, since last year. Pagliano is responsible for setting up Clinton’s private email server. Initially, Pagliano invoked his Fifth Amendment right to avoid investigators, but has since agreed to cooperate under an immunity deal. So far, the FBI has had at least one interview with the former aid, and may have many more under the agreement.

According to an inside source within the investigation, Pagliano could be a “devastating witness.”

At the same, the State Department has halted its investigation of Clinton’s emails at the request of the FBI. State Department spokeswoman, Elizabeth Trudeau stated “We do not want our internal review to complicate or impede [the FBI probe]. We are prioritizing the law enforcement investigation.”

According to a spokesman, this is par for the course when handling investigations, but it can be deduced that things must be getting somewhat serious.

Clinton told Meet the Press that she’s not worried about the investigation in any way. When asked by Chuck Todd if she was concerned, she replied, “No, I’m not, because I don’t think anything inappropriate was done. And so I have to let them decide how to resolve their security inquiry, but I’m not at all worried about it.”

Despite her words, she has every reason to have concern, and likely does behind the facade.

The FBI has already found emails within Clinton’s servers that have been labeled “Top Secret” and above. The State Department has already revealed that numerous emails were classified as such, and according to Judge Napalitano, the FBI already has a “mountain of evidence.”

As Napalitano told “Fox and Friends” in March, in regard to Clinton’s former aids, “If they go in, they’re not under oath, but it’s very, very dangerous, because if they mislead or lie to the FBI, that’s a felony — the equivalent to perjury — and they can be prosecuted, and they do not know, and their lawyers do not know, what the FBI knows about them.”

This knowledge may, or may not have inspired Paglia to come forward with everything under the promise of immunity, but either way, it’s not looking good for the Democratic front runner. While they haven’t contacted her yet, she can rest assured that the FBI will be contacting her very soon.
