Egypt’s Nilesat drops Hezbollah’s al-Manar TV – YouTube
Al-Manar has confirmed that it has been dropped by Nilesat. The Egyptian satellite provider has accused the Lebanese channel of airing programs promoting sectarian strife. Al-Manar has rejected the accusations. It’s called Nilesat’s move as unjust, political and arbitrary. The move came ahead of an expected visit this week by Saudi King Salman to Egypt. Last month, Saudi Arabia and its Arab allies in the Persian Gulf blacklisted Hezbollah as a terror organization. The Lebanese resistance movement is a strong critic of Riyadh for its regional policies, including those on backing terrorists fighting the Syrian government.
