(Before It's News)

It should come as no shock that the same media that treated Donald Trump like the main attraction under the Big Top for months are now crafting his general election demise.

Hillary Clinton will be portrayed as the hard-working mom and grandmother, tested in the political fires and still powering through.

She will be the champion of women’s causes and anyone who has had to work harder than the “good ole boy” system, just to stay afloat.

By the time the progressive media is done with her, she will be an iconic figure of the underdog, fighting the establishment, withstanding wave after wave of oppression.

Then there’s Trump.

The same media that couldn’t get enough of him, marveling at every madcap adventure, will now begin to highlight the very attributes of Trump that conservatives have been screaming about from the day he announced his candidacy.

He will be portrayed, rightly, as an ill-prepared, incoherent, buffoonish misogynist.

Every act of adultery, every bad business deal, every bankruptcy, and every flip-flop will be twisted against him.

Those things that endeared him to Fox News during the primary – the hateful attacks – those are the very things that will turn the public against him, in the general.

From the Washington Examiner:

While the 2016 campaign has been hard to predict, the media know how they want to play it: Hillary Clinton, the likely Democratic nominee, will be the dignified victim of relentless “attacks” from her wild and hostile Republican opponent, Donald Trump.

The press has painted the picture clearly in the days since Trump became the de facto GOP nominee. In a May 6 interview, NBC “Nightly News” anchor Lester Holt encouraged Trump to “start on her” by asking if there is anything that is “off the table” when it comes to campaigning against her.

The media will give Trump plenty of rope to hang himself, and Trump will absolutely grab hold of it, with both hands. He is incapable of not running off at the mouth or speaking with enormous levels of ignorance.

Clinton will win the war of optics by simply remaining calm.

“’I have a lot of experience dealing with men who sometimes get off the reservation in the way they behave and how they speak,’ she told Tapper. ‘I’m not going to deal with their temper tantrums or their bullying or their efforts to try to provoke me. He can say whatever he wants to say about me. I could really care less. I’m going to stand up for what I think the American people need and want in the next president.’”

Clinton isn’t as above losing her cool as she is suggesting. She’s had her own moments of lashing out. In this battle, however, she will absolutely maintain her composure and will look like the more presidential candidate, because of it.
