*Sigh of Relief* Kasich Rules Out Third Party Run and the Nation Relaxes

(Before It's News)

We told you this weekend about the third party hopefuls being floated and vetted by a group of party movers and shakers, and that it included John Kasich, who was being visited by Mitt. Basically, in other words, the worst thing ever. Thankfully we won’t have to worry about it, according to Gov. Kasich.

John Kasich said Monday that he would not mount a third party bid for the White House, putting an end to budding hopes that the former Republican presidential candidate would reenter the race.

“I’m not gonna do that,” the Ohio governor told CNN’s Anderson Cooper in an exclusive interview, his first since leaving the race. “I gave it my best where I am. I just think running third party doesn’t feel right. I think it’s not constructive.”

It’s definitely not constructive and believe me, Governor, it doesn’t feel right to we the people either.

Of course, the other take-away from this interview was his confirmation that people were looking.

Kasich acknowledged that he has had a phone call with “somebody” who wanted him to mount an independent bid. Hopes from some Republican elites in stopping their own presumptive nominee, Donald Trump, have intensified as third-party ballot deadlines loom.

For his part, Kasich views the entire idea of a third party run as a “silly” thing. Not that he is any good judge of silly things. He stuck to his own campaign for President long through silly and all the way into “downright inexplicable.” But oddly it was just long enough to spoil Cruz’s chances.

In any case, good news, good bye, so long, and adios, Gov. I can’t wait until you’re not part of the 2016 talk anymore.
