(Before It's News)

So the likely Republican nominee for President is going to trial for a class action lawsuit. This will take on November 28th just after the elections, but before inauguration. That’s right, folks. The Republican President-elect will have gone to trial before his reign even starts.

“Trump University is something that I’ve thought about for a long time. I didn’t want to put my name on anything having to do with education unless it was going to be the best,” said Trump about the “school.”

Precious.

This lawsuit is just the first of three, however. This one in particular centers around the alleged defrauding of those who paid somewhere around $35,000 for a seminar at Trump University, the now defunct and never accredited “school.”

According to the suit, the students across the country were supposed to have classes and seminars that taught lessons on how to make in the real estate business, but were instead subjected to what essentially equated to a giant infomercial that focused on the students buying things. In the end, they got zero in regards to what they came for.

Hilariously, Trump himself likes to tout that the school had a 98% satisfaction rate…

…which when seeing as how nearly 40% of the students wanted a refund, this makes that number seem wildly inaccurate at just a cursory glance. According to the lawsuit, students also felt hesitant to criticize their teachers on the survey, as they still had more “class” to go, and the surveys were not at all anonymous.

Indeed, the entire thing smelled like rotten fish on a wet dog. Documents obtained by CBS that point to the entire scam being…well…a scam.

In other court documents, former events manager Corinne Sommer wrote that in her experience, “the focus of Trump University was on making sales rather than on providing educational services.”

“Some consumers had showed up who were homeless and could not afford the seminars,” she wrote. “Yet I overheard Trump University representatives telling them, ‘It’s ok; just max out your credit card.’”

Needless to say, the odds are stacked against him here.
