Breaking: Feds Release Partial Transcripts of Omar Mateen’s 911 Calls
The federal government has released partial transcripts of Omar Mateen’s 911 calls he made on the night he killed 49 people inside an Orlando nightclub.
All references to his allegiance to ISIS have been redacted and the reason is as stupid as you can guess:
Assistant Special Agent in Charge Ron Hopper defended the deletions.
“[Mateen] does not represent the religion of Islam, but a perverted view,” Hopper said, later adding: “Part of the redacting is meant to not give credence to individuals who have done terrorist attacks in the past. We’re not gonna propagate their violent rhetoric.”
Once again, political correctness rules over common sense in the Obama administration. More on the transcripts in the video below:
The state of Florida can legally release the full transcript if I am not mistaken. Hopefully, Governor Rick Scott does the right thing.
