Governor John Kasich Emerges to State the Obvious

(Before It's News)

I never thought I’d see the day where I thought I would be happy with a John Kasich nomination, but under the present circumstances, the Ohio governor is looking pretty good.

He can at least speak with some manner of coherency and has executive governing experience.

In spite of what many (myself included) saw as his acting as spoiler, by staying in the race long past any mathematical possibility of winning the nomination, if given the option of replacing Trump with Kasich, at this point, I would happily go Team Kasich.

He’s also smart enough to know that the media were complicit in pushing a Trump nomination on the public.

From an MSNBC interview today, as reported by the Washington Examiner:

“The media gave him $2 billion worth of free press,” he said. “I mean, I could be having a press conference and they’d have an empty podium with Trump speaking there. … See, I think the elites have let us down in a lot of places. And I think, you know, $2 billion worth of free press — you couldn’t get enough of him.”

This is absolutely true. What the gilded toad and his loyal tadpoles are missing, however, is that in the lead up to the nomination, the media was kind. Now that he has the nomination, the media will do what they’ve done for Republicans for years, and they will spend just as much in press to destroy him.

Free of charge.

Governor Kasich knows it, as well.

“It was all ratings,” said Kasich. “Who’s kidding who? I call in, you get no ratings. He calls in, you get good ratings. … Was there not a fixation on him by the media, which is changing now?”

It is absolutely changing, and barring Hillary’s indictment, it will spell certain defeat for the Republican party in November.
