Seriously? Car Crashes Into Funeral for Orlando Terror Attack Victim
Two police officers have been injured today, and the trauma for one family has increased, after a car crashed into the funeral procession for a victim of the terror attack on the Pulse nightclub in Orlando, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The funeral procession was traveling with marked police vehicles from a church to the grave site in Kissimmee, about 20 miles south of Orlando, when a driver hit two police vehicles within the procession, officials said. The wounded officers were taken to a nearby hospital, where one was in serious but stable condition and the other was in stable condition.
Both injured officers are from the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office, officials said.
The female driver was apparently impatient with the procession and slammed into the two police motorcycles while trying to cut through the line. She was not injured, according to police, but asked to be taken to a local hospital to be examined.
ABC reports that charges are pending. Florida Highway Patrol officer Sgt. Kim Montes told WFTV news that the crash “doesn’t appear to have been intentional.”

Earlier today, two Osceola County Sheriff’s deputies assigned to the Motor Unit were struck by a motorist who, for whatever reason, refused to wait for a passing funeral escort. The funeral procession was for a victim of the Pulse Nightclub incident. Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the traffic crash.
Right now, our focus is on the health of our two motor deputies who are being treated at a local hospital. More information will be provided as it becomes available.
