Trump Contradicts Himself on Japan Nukes

Every time Donald Trump contradicts himself, his flacks say, Oh, we’re having a discussion, he’s bringing up important points.
Well, the only person he’s having a discussion with is himself, because he is speaking before having bothered to think the issue through.
“They said I want Japan to nuke, I want Japan to get nuclear weapons. Give me a break,” Trump said Wednesday night.
Actually, he has repeatedly suggested Japan might be better off with nuclear weapons. “Maybe they would in fact better off if they defend themselves from North Korea . . . including with nukes, yes, including with nukes” he said recently on Fox News Sunday.
Sure hope he spends more time taking briefings after he is president.
