Commander: Ansarullah Starts Fresh Operations against Al-Qaeda, ISIL in Western Yemen

The Yemeni popular forces have started massive operations to purge Takfiri terrorists from the country’s Western provinces, a senior Ansarullah commander announced. “Ansarullah kicked off its fresh military operations in Western Yemen to drive out the Al-Qaeda and the ISIL terrorists from there,” Hossein al-Houthi told FNA on Wednesday. He noted that the Yemeni popular forces have responded to the people of Western Yemen who called for help against the Al-Qaeda and the ISIL. “The massive presence of the terrorist groups in the Southern and Western provinces of Yemen is a plot to disintegrate Yemen; the Yemeni people will not allow this to happen,” al-Houthi added.
In mid-May, a prominent Yemeni political analyst warned of the hegemonic powers’ plots to disintegrate Yemen, saying that the recent US military buildup and clashes in the Southern parts of the country are aimed at winning control over the Bab al-Mandab region. “The recent clashes in Southern Yemen and the US increased presence in the region are aimed at controlling the strategic Bab al-Mandab Strait,” Qanim al-Shokor told FNA. Noting that Saudi Arabia and other countries which support the terrorist streams seek to control the world’s most important oil passage, he said the Yemeni islands have also attracted the West and Israel’s attention. “The two beautiful islands of Perim and Socotra are among the strategic islands that Israel and the West can use them to control their ships and warships’ cruising the region,” Shokor warned.
Saudi-Led Coalition Sends Modern Military Equipment to Al-Qaeda in Yemen

The Saudi-led coalition has sent large cargos of state-of-the-art military weapons and equipment to the al-Qaeda terrorist group in Yemen, a commander disclosed on Tuesday. “The Saudi-led coalition has recently sent modern military equipment, including tanks and armored vehicles, through the sea to the port city of Mukalla in Hadhramout province, Southern Yemen,” Adel Abdollah, a Yemeni military commander, told FNA. “The al-Qaeda terrorist group has received the military equipment to suppress the revolutionary moves and carry out terrorist operations,” he added. Abdollah dismissed the Saudi-led coalition’s claims that it has increased deployment in Southern Yemen to fight against al-Qaeda, and said it is actually helping the terrorist group intensify its attacks.
Opposition Leader: UAE Implementing US, Israeli Plots in Yemen

The UAE has deployed its forces in Yemen’s strategic regions under the US and Israel’s pressures and their promises for economic flourishing, an Emirati opposition leader said on Wednesday. “By renting Socotra Island in Yemen and deploying troops in the port city of Mukalla in Hadhramout province (Southern Yemen), the UAE is implementing the US and Israel’s order to gain control over the strategic regions in Bab al-Mandab to render them to the Zionist regime,” Abdullah Abdullah al-Majed, an Emirati opposition leader, told FNA. Noting that the UAE is also concerned about turning the port of Aden into a powerful rival for the Dubai port, he revealed that Washington has promised help Abu Dhabi’s economic growth for occupation of strategic regions in Yemen. “The UAE is shedding the blood of Arab nations to the benefit of the US and Israel,” al-Majed said.
Analyst: US, Israel, Arab Allies Plotting to Plunder Yemen’s Oil Reserves, Control Bab Al-Mandeb

A senior Yemeni political analyst underlined that Washington, Tel Aviv and their regional Arab allies have joined hands to establish full control over Bab al-Mandeb Strait and Yemen’s oil reserves. “The main reason for setting up a Saudi-led Arab coalition for attacking Yemen is protecting Israel’s interests in the region,” Hassan al-Jahed told FNA on Wednesday. Al-Jahed said when Saudi Arabia could not implement the US plans for partitioning the region, it resorted to war in Yemen to cover up its serial defeats in other places. “The US is trying to take control of the world’s most important waterways, including the strategic Bab al-Mandeb Strait which connects the Red Sea to the Arab Sea; Eritrea and Djibouti have common sea borders with Yemen,” he added. On Tuesday, a prominent political analyst revealed UAE’s attempts to gain control over the Southern parts of Yemen in cooperation with the US and in rivalry with Saudi Arabia. “The UAE is after more cooperation with the US to fully control and occupy the Southern parts of Yemen,” Sadeq Ishaq told FNA. He also disclosed that the UAE has paid 1.9 billion dirhams to the US security companies for collaboration in occupying Southern Yemen.
