The Yemeni army has inched closer to the strategic military airport of Al-Anad in Lahij province after their recent victory in winning back Jabal Jalis (Jalis Mountain), media reports said. “The Yemeni forces are now very close to taking back al-Anad airbase,” the Arabic-language media reports said.
The Yemeni popular forces, and their allies captured Jabal Jalis on Tuesday after a violent battle with the Saudi-led Coalition in Southern Yemen, a military source said. “The Ansarullah forces, backed by the Yemeni Republican Guard and former president Ali Abdullah Saleh loyalists, captured Jabal Jalis in Lahij province,” the source said.
The source, demanding anonymity, added that the Ansarullah forces and their allies captured Jabal Jalis after an intense three day battle. The capture of Jabal Jalis has positioned the Ansarullah forces and their allies within striking distance of the strategic Al-Anad Military Airport, which is currently under the control of the Saudi Army.

Al Khalifa Mercenaries Raid Bahrain’s Senior Cleric Hometown Village of Diraz

Mercenary forces of Al Khalifa regime raided Bahrain’s senior cleric Sheikh Isa Qassim’s hometown village of Diraz and the whole area has virtually come under their siege, local sources reported. “The mercenary forces of Army and Police have cordoned the whole village and no one except for local residents is allowed to enter the village or leave the area,” said the sources, who demanded to remain anonymous. The definition of Army and Police forces in Bahrain is quite complex, as the Army and Police forces in the Persian Gulf country, like some of its regional allies see among their ranks mercenaries rented from African countries, Pakistan, and even among some foreign terrorist elements from neighboring countries, including Yemen. They often use heavy-handed methods in smashing and suppressing the Bahrainis’ peaceful movements.
The development came as Bahrain’s Interior Ministry announced in a statement earlier this week that the country’s top Shiite cleric Ayatollah Sheikh Issa Qassim was stripped of his citizenship. Bahrain’s Interior Ministry announced in an statement on Monday the country’s top Shiite cleric was stripped of his citizenship. “Isa Ahmed Qassim has been stripped of his Bahraini citizenship,” Bahrain state news agency cited the ministry’s statement, referring to the country’s most senior Shiite Muslim cleric in Bahrain. The latest move by the Bahrain regime against the country’s main opposition figures came as the Al Khalifa regime is exerting mounting pressure on the opposition.
Opposition members feel the government is willing to accelerate its crackdown on dissent because it believes it will only face minimal censure through statements of concern in the US and Europe. Both the US and UK have large naval bases in Bahrain. Last week, the government suspended the main Shia opposition party, al-Wefaq, accusing it of having links to foreign terrorists and inciting hatred. Sheikh Ali Salman, al-Wefaq’s secretary-general, was arrested in 2014 on charges of inciting violence. His sentence was doubled to nine years on appeal last month. The cabinet decided to revoke the citizenship of Sheikh Isa — an indigenous Bahraini who applied for nationality to get a passport in the 1960s — after a presentation by the interior ministry. The lack of judicial oversight raised concerns among rights groups. Stripping the nationality of dissidents has become a popular tool for Persian Gulf Arab littoral states battling domestic dissent, such as Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates, where nationality is perceived by many as a privilege not a right.
The UN High Commissioner for Human Rights says more than 250 Bahrainis have been stripped of their nationality for alleged disloyalty. The move by the Manama regime has also caused anger in Iran and across the world. The Human Rights Watch lashed out the Manama regime for stripping Bahrain’s Shiite Leader Sheikh Isa Qassim of his citizenship. “The decision to strip Sheikh Isa Qassim of his citizenship takes Bahrain into the darkest days it has seen since the protests and crackdown of 2011,” Human Rights Watch said in a statement. “The Bahraini authorities are shutting the door on political reform, while simultaneously stoking dissent. These actions should be met with serious consequences, not expressions of concern.”

Grave warning from Gen. Soleimani to Bahrain’s Al-Khalifa | Veterans Today
For years, the oppressed Muslim people of Bahrain undergo injustice, discrimination, defamation and violence from Al Khalifa regime.Despite oppression and sectarian discriminatory treatment, by Al Khalifa, such as detention of religious and political leaders, imprisonment of women and children, inhumane torture, removal of citizenship, violation of citizenship rights and tens other crimes. However, the Bahraini Noble and patient people sought peacefully to obtain his legitimate rights, without granting Al Khalif any justification for use of violence despite the regime increasing pressure that could not force the people to abandon peaceful means.
Al Khalifa arrogance exceeded all limits, to the extent of exaggerating their day-to-day crimes, increasing pressure over the Bahraini people taking advantage of the nobility and peaceful movement of the people within the collusive silence of UN , USA and Arab countries.
The illegal detention of Sheikh Ali Salman and all other political and religious leaders in the silence of international community encouraged Al Khalifa arrogance to transgress the sanctity of the prominent scholar and Bahraini Shia religious leader Ayetullah Isa Qassem, creating worrying impressions in the minds of the people in Bahrain and the region.
Al Khalifa seems to take advantage of the people peaceful movement having incorrect estimate of his wrath. There is no doubt, they know very well transgressing the sanctity of Ayetullah Isa Qassem is a redline for the people, if crossed will spark a fire in Bahrain and the region as a whole.
Such practices leave the people with no choice but armed resistance that will make Al Khalifa pay a high price and removal of their dictator regime.
Let protectors of Al Khalifa know that attacking Ayetollah Sheikh Isa Qassim and continued pressure beyond Bahraini people withstanding will lead to a bloody uprising and those legalizing arrogance of rulers will bear the responsibility.
“And soon the ones who did injustice will know by whatever overturning they will be overturned.”
