Breaking: Clinton Picks TPP Supporter Kaine as VP in Move Toward Center for Election | 22 July 2016 | Hillary Clinton named Virginia Senator Tim Kaine as her running mate for the Democratic presidential ticket, a widely-anticipated choice that may say more about how she wants to govern than how she plans to win in November. Clinton made the announcement Friday in a text message to supporters. Kaine, 58, a white Catholic from a battleground state who's fluent in Spanish, is a safe choice for the woman who will this week become the first-ever female presidential nominee of a major U.S. political party. He's also a supporter of free trade, including the Trans-Pacific Partnership [corporate takeover] that President Barack Obama's administration negotiated with 11 other nations, and which awaits ratification in Congress.
