Breaking: US-backed military coup attempt underway in Turkey –Martial law imposed –Internet cut (MSNBC) | 15 July 2016 | Military officers in Turkey are began mounting a coup against the government, Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim said late on Friday. “Some people illegally undertook an illegal action outside of command,” Yildirim told NTV according to Reuters. General Hulusi AKAR chief of the Turkish army was taken as hostage, the website of Turkish army hacked. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is currently out of the country on a holiday and is reportedly safe. Media agencies close to AKP [The Justice and Development Party] are saying that those mounting the coup are backed by the US. There was an explosion inside the main police station in Istanbul.

    Good fake-out…..the article you linked isn’t on MSNBC, and in the linked article, the word “internet” does not appear, nor does “martial law”.
