Solar-Powered Spaceship Probes Elvis

Five long years ago a solar-powered spacecraft set sail for the King of Planets: Jupiter.  NASA announced: “Juno, Welcome to Jupiter” around 0030 this morning.

“Juno’s mission: To peer through Jupiter’s cloud-socked atmosphere and map the interior from a unique vantage point above the poles. Among the lingering questions: How much water exists? Is there a solid core? Why are Jupiter’s southern and northern lights the brightest in the solar system?”

The probe will hang with the Big Guy for the next 20 months before diving into its atmosphere and disintegrating into a mass of nothing.

UK’s Conservative MPs Vote for New PM

Parliament’s 330 members of The Conservative Party begin voting today to winnow the field of 5 promising PMs to 4.  Round 2 this Thursday will X out a couple more potentials to then whittle the remaining contestants to 2 next Tuesday.  Today’s loser winners will be announced sometime after 7pm local, 2pm EDT.

Since Boris Johnson’s Populist truther movement failed, or rather not-at-all-truther movement, he has endorsed Theresa May. The other 4 candidates for Prime Minister are Andrea Leadsom, Michael Gove, Liam Fox, and Stephen Crabb.

September 9th will be the big day. The Conservative Party will convene to pick, from the words of David Cameron’s (current PM) giving up speech,

“’…fresh leadership to take it in this [Brexit] direction,’ Cameron said.”

“The gun didn’t kill my boy. I did.”

“Father grieves son he accidentally shot.”

This man’s profound statement is worthy of a congressional hearing. The ability of a father to step back, breath deep and apply reason to an unutterable loss, which he caused, exemplifies the discipline and respect for the weapon he fired.

“Every round in the gun is your responsibility. When it fires you need to stand to account for it. That’s what I’ve spent the last two days doing, accounting for my operating error.”

Many parents might, understandably to deflect from their feelings of guilt, attack the inanimate object after an accident like this. The left leaning msm might call for Congress to ban all firearms which would trigger the Democrats to once again pow wow on the floor of the People’s House (while secretly fundraising).

“It doesn’t take but a split second for something to go wrong and that could be [the case] with a gun, it could be with the wrong medicine, it could be with any number of things.”

No matter how hard we as humans try, we are fallible; mistakes will happen and sometimes those mistakes will cause people to die.

Move along. Nothing to legislate here.
