The Yemeni army pounded the Saudi-led forces’ strategic military base in Ma’rib province with a Zalzal 3 ballistic missile on Wednesday. Al-Tadavin military base which is under Saudi Arabia’s control was hit by Yemen’s Zalzal 3 ballistic missile. The forces loyal to former fugitive president Mansour Hadi were also present in Al-Tadavin military base at the time it was hit by the missile. Initial reports indicated scores of casualties in the Yemeni missile attack on al-Tadavin military base.
Al-Tadavin military base is located between Ma’rib and al-Jawf provinces in the Northern parts of Yemen. In a relevant development earlier on Wednesday, the Yemeni forces repelled the Saudi-led forces’ fourth attack on their military positions in the Western part of Ma’rib province, inflicting heavy losses on them in a counteroffensive.
The Saudi forces launched an attack for the fourth time on the Yemeni military positions in Yam Benham region in Western Ma’rib, but were pushed back army and popular forces. The Yemeni forces also destroyed several armored and military vehicles of the Saudi forces in the army’s counterattack.
Meantime, a battlefield source in Yemen told FNA that tough battle is currently underway between the Yemeni army and the Saudi forces in Ta’iz. Nawaf Adnan reiterated that heavy clashes between the Yemeni and Saudi forces are underway in the Eastern and Western parts of Ta’iz.
On Tuesday, the Saudi forces launched their third attack on the Yemeni positions in Yam Benham region, but to no avail. On Monday, the Yemeni army and popular forces’ missiles hit and destroyed the arms and ammunition depots of Saudi-led forces in the city of al-Hazm in al-Jawf province on Monday as the Arab coalition continued to violate the ceasefire. “Saudi Arabia’s weapons and ammunition depots were annihilated in Shihat region of al-Hazm city in al-Jawf province,” battlefield sources said. The sources noted that heavy smoke could be seen after the Yemeni missiles hit Saudi arms arsenal. The Saudi-led forces sustained heavy casualties as the Yemeni missiles precisely struck their arms and ammunition depots.
