Laura Ingraham Presents: The Most Annoying Talking Point Trump Supporters Have
If there is one thing I hate, it’s the claim that there is some moral imperative to vote for Donald Trump, as though Donald Trump were a man of morals. It’s annoying because it all really comes back to one thing: OMG WE HAVE TO STOP HILLARY.
Yeah. I know. I tried to do that. I voted for a conservative in Louisiana’s primary. I supported the conservative candidates as best I could. All of them lost to Trump in what was little more than a temper tantrum by a minority of the party’s voting base. So, how are they now trying to get me to support this con artist? I’ll let Noted Trump Shrill, Laura Ingraham, explain.

First of all, if my kids and grandkids are asking me about how I voted in 2016, I’m going to tell them to go back to their fancy virtual reality video games and lecture them how, back in my day, we had game systems that were barely two dimensional and we were damn grateful for the chance to play as a little Italian plumber who got to save a princess.
Secondly, I would find it infinitely more embarrassing if someone asked me that and my answer was “I voted for Donald Trump.” If that were the case, my grandkids should be obligated by law to put me in a home right then and there.
My kids are going to grow up with as little talk about how to beat candidates as possible. I’m much more inclined to reinforce principles than election strategy. Yes, conservatism is going to lose the Supreme Court in November. I don’t care who wins, because neither is going to put up a nominee that I like, unless perhaps Trump is real about Don Willett of Texas. But, I don’t trust a man who routinely contradicts his own words and policies in the 3,700 daily interviews he gives to media outlets he hates and who hate him in return.
Years from now, when my kids or grandkids ask me about politics, I’ll tell them about what my beliefs are. I’m certainly not going to tell them what I did to stop one candidate. But, if they ask what I did in 2016, I’ll be sure to let them know that I fought like hell to get a conservative nominated in a year that Republicans had in the bag. I just wasn’t powerful enough to stop the raving lunatics at Fox News and on talk radio who gave Trump the keys to their dignity.
