Death of Palestinian in Israeli jail slammed
Palestinian authorities have condemned the sudden death of a prisoner in an Israeli jail. They say he lost his life as a result of Israel’s medical negligence.
Chairman of the Palestinian Detainees and Ex-Detainees Commission Essa Qaraqe says Israeli authorities are responsible for the death of Yasser Hamdouni. He called for an international investigation into his death which he described as a heinous crime. Qaraqe says the victim did not receive any medical examination despite a request by the commission to prison officials who only gave him pain killers.

Facebook apologizes for disabling Palestinian journalists’ accounts | The Electronic Intifada
Facebook says it made a mistake in disabling the accounts of
journalists who administer the pages of two of the most widely read
Palestinian publications on the Internet.
“The pages were removed in error and restored as soon as we were able
to investigate,” a Facebook spokesperson has told The Electronic
Intifada. “Our team processes millions of reports each week, and we
sometimes get things wrong. We’re very sorry about this mistake.”
The Electronic Intifada understands that the accounts were suspended
after they had been reported for violations of Facebook’s “community
standards.” But once investigations were undertaken and no violations
were found, they were restored.
On Friday, administrators for the Facebook pages of Quds, which has more than five million “likes,” and Shehab News Agency, which has more than six million, found they could not access their accounts.
Quds and Shehab News Agency have confirmed to The Electronic Intifada that the disabled accounts have now been restored.
Trump meets with Netanyahu, discusses ISIS, Jewish State, US military aid
Donald Trump met Sunday with Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, discussing such key issues as the Iran nuclear deal, Middle East stability and problems that the Islamic State terror group has created in the region, according to the Trump campaign.
Trump, the Republican presidential nominee, met privately with Netanyahu at Trump Tower in Manhattan, while the Israeli leader remained in New York after meeting President Obama and addressed the U.N. General Assembly last week.
Netanyahu also is expected to meet Sunday with Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, who has been at her home north of the city preparing for Monday night’s presidential debate.
Both candidates likely will seek Netanyahu’s support for their respective White House bids, considering Israel is often called the United States’ most important ally. U.S. presidential candidates routinely visit Israel to meet with leaders. But neither Trump nor Clinton has in the 2016 election cycle.
Trump and Netanyahu are long-time acquaintances. But in December 2015, Trump postponed a trip to Israel to meet with Netanyahu after the prime minister’s office criticized his proposal to temporarily ban Muslim immigrants — in the aftermath of several terror attacks inspired or executed by radical Islamic terrorists.
