Treason: Obama Commits to Another Treaty Without Congressional Approval!

We have warned you that Obama was going to do this. We have raised the alarm to spread the news as far and wide as possible before Obama got away with it.
Congress heard your plea and responded. They sent a strongly worded letter to Barack Obama warning him not to go forward with binding the United States to the UN Nuclear Test Ban Treaty without Congressional approval. But it wasn’t enough.
Right now, the UN Security Council is meeting and there is only one topic on the agenda: the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty.
Back in 1999, Bill Clinton tried to get Congress to ratify the treaty. Congress refused and voted 51-48 against the treaty. Considering that it takes 67 votes to ratify a treaty, the Clinton administration didn’t even come close…
Today, Barack Obama plans to change that. Instead of putting the treaty up for another vote, as the Constitution requires, the President is putting a carbon-copy through the UN Security Council. This will legally bind the United States to an international treaty without any input from Congress.
Barack Obama spoke before the UN General Assembly earlier this week. One of the themes of his speech was that the United States would have to give up some of its freedoms to the United Nations. No, that’s not a joke…
“We have to put our money where our mouths are. And we can only realize the promise of this institution’s founding to replace the ravages of war with cooperation, if powerful nations – like my own – accept constraints. Sometimes I’m criticized in my own country for professing a belief in international norms and multilateral institutions. But I am convinced in the long run giving up some freedom of action – not giving up our ability to protect ourselves or pursue our core interests – but binding ourselves to international rules over the long term enhances our security.”
I almost spit up my lunch when I heard him say this…
If anyone reading this still has doubts about Obama’s intentions, I don’t think the evidence can get any clearer.
This is what is happening today. The United States, under the direction of Obama himself, will vote in the United Nations Security Council to permanently give up our right to test nuclear devices.
We all agree that the world is a better place without nuclear detonations. This is why we haven’t tested a nuclear weapon since 1992. But Congress deliberately voted not to give up the right to have future testing. Congress decided that it would be in the United States’ interest to retain the ability to test, if necessary, new weapons technologies.
That’s the end of the discussion. We don’t live in an ends-justify-the-means society where the President is allowed to just make unilateral decisions like this.
What Obama is doing today, by bypassing Congress and rebranding this treaty as a UNSC resolution, is illegal, unconstitutional, and treasonous. Period.
As you read this, John Kerry is in New York City negotiating the surrender of our sovereignty.
Congress tried to intervene beforehand. They threatened serious reprisals if Obama went through with his plan.
The President just called Congress’ bluff. They warned him not to surrender our sovereignty and he went forward with his plan anyway. Obama is daring Congress to do something about it.
There are two possible outcomes here.
(1) You can go about your day and ignore what Obama is doing right now. You can let him get away with shredding the Constitution and leaving future generations vulnerable.
or
(2) You can stand and fight! You can get louder than you’ve ever been and DEMAND that Congress use every tool at its disposal to stop Obama. And yes, when we say every tool, we mean every tool…
With the Constitution and this country’s future on the line, I choose door #2. What will you choose?
