Trump Takes Issue With Tim Kaine Pointing Out What He Doesn’t Know
Nuh-uh!
There you have it. The extent of reasoned and knowledgeable retort from GOP nominee Trump.
Tim Kaine, VP pick on the Democrat ticket, took the opportunity on Sunday morning TV to point out Trump’s flimsy grip on world events and policy.
Kaine earlier Sunday said Trump was “not even aware that [Russian President Vladimir] Putin had gone into Crimea as recently as two weeks ago.”
“He promised that Putin would not, and had to be reminded that Putin went in and took over Crimea two years ago,” Kaine said on ABC’s “This Week.”
Kaine also criticized the Trump campaign’s apparent “coziness” with Russia, citing former campaign chairman Paul Manafort’s ties to a pro-Russian political party in Ukraine.
Trump retreated to the only arrow in his quiver – Twitter.

Trump is absolutely correct on that particular point. America has become a much weaker nation with Obama in office. His lead from behind philosophy has allowed bad actors to advance, and one of those bad actors is Putin.
However, Kaine was correct, as well.
In July, Trump sat down with George Stephanopoulos and it was embarrassing.
“He’s not going into Ukraine, OK? Just so you understand. He’s not gonna go into Ukraine, all right? You can mark it down. You can put it down,” Trump said.
In the interview, host George Stephanopoulos pushed back, saying, “Well, he’s already there, isn’t he?”
“OK, well, he’s there in a certain way,” Trump said.
A certain way?
After several military incursions into the region, taking control of infrastructures and strategic positions, and the eventual annexation of the region, I’d say yes, they’re there in a “certain way.” I’m just not sure Trump gets what that means.
You can expect any debates to be the height of dark comedy.
