I am sure, somewhere in the back of his mind, Bill Clinton thought requesting young Hispanic women to campaign with him was a great idea. But, we are not concerned with the back of his mind. We’re concerned with how creepy it is that a man with a history of sexual assault accusations would make such a request and even more concerned with how quickly Hillary’s advisers took it into consideration.
Via The Daily Caller:
Bill Clinton reportedly requested actress America Ferrera, who campaigned for the Clintons in the past.
“He was thing America but that’s based in his mind on 2008 [sic],” Flournoy said.
“We love America,” said Huma Abedin, a top Hillary Clinton aide wrote. “Tried to get her but she couldn’t do this weekend.”
Now, the hacked e-mails reported in the story also mention he requested one of the Castros currently in the House of Representatives (both male), but it appeared he was leaning more toward a “young, Latina celeb type” of companion.
Maybe it’s nothing. Maybe it was legitimate political strategy. After all, Trump’s rise was based almost entirely on anti-Hispanic immigration. However, there is a reputation, and any “young, Latina celeb type” who was asked would have been wise to immediately say “No,” for their own safety.
The dude is creepy.
