Presidential Elections In Short
I don't get worked up about the charade known as presidential elections because the national agenda has been set in advance and not by the parties or their candidates.
The president can be likened to the pilot of a commercial airliner. The destination is predetermined and the aircraft effectively runs on auto-pilot. Elections are merely rehearsals for the first class passengers to determine who is best suited to handle their affairs, while pretending to serve the economy class, who have no real choice but to go along for the ride.
