~~Winter Park, Fla. (Oct. 26, 2016) – Rabits & Romano Architecture, Planning and Design has been selected to design the new bakery and café Brownierie in Winter Park.

Brownierie was founded in 1999 in Rio De Janiero and has grown to 24 locations all across Brazil. While on vacation to Winter Park, the founders of Brownierie fell in love with the community. Because of this love, they decided to make Winter Park the location for their first café in the U.S.

Specializing in coffee and baked goods, Brownierie’s menu includes desserts, breads and of course, brownies. The café also offers a full breakfast and lunch menu.

Brownierie’s passion for the pure, unadulterated taste of chocolate has led them to create a menu without trans fats, preservatives or additives. This love of flavor has expanded into the creation of sugar-free, gluten-free, and vegan-friendly options. With a reputation for having the best coffee, expresso, cappuccinos, lattes, and specialty drinks in Brazil, Brownierie uses only the freshest, hand-selected roasted beans. The menu is dedicated to quality, and they are sure to be a perfect fit in their new Winter Park home.

Rabits & Romano was selected for the assignment because of its extensive work with other Brazilian businesses, including the first Banco do Brasil on International Drive.

“We’re looking forward to the opportunity to help bring yet another international business to the Orlando area,” Managing Partner Bob Rabits said. “This means a boost for the local economy, as well as expanded options for consumers here.”

Timothy Garito of Garito & Company has been selected to handle the site selection and development for Brownierie’s expansion into the U.S. market.

“I am ecstatic to have the opportunity to work with a company like Brownierie, whose quality of product is only matched by the quality of the people behind it,” Garito said. “Winter Park is in for a real treat!”

The café’s first site will be located in the new Lakeside Crossing development at the corner of Morse Boulevard and Orlando Avenue in Winter Park.
