(Before It's News)

Earlier today someone drove a car into a crowd of students at Ohio State. They they got out and started stabbing people. Eleven people were injured/wounded, one critically, before police shot and killed the attacker.

The attacker was identified as Abdul Razak Ali Artan. He was born in Somalia and was a legal permanent U.S. resident, according to a U.S. official who wasn’t authorized to discuss the case and spoke on condition of anonymity. The FBI joined the investigation.

Ohio State Police Chief Craig Stone said that the assailant deliberately drove his small gray Honda over a curb outside an engineering classroom building and then began knifing people. A campus officer who happened to be nearby because of a gas leak arrived on the scene and shot the driver in less than a minute, Stone said.

Rep. Adam Schiff of California, the top Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, said that while the bloodshed is still under investigation, it “bears all of the hallmarks of a terror attack carried out by someone who may have been self-radicalized.”

Wait, wait. Did a Democrat actually speculate on this being a instance of terrorism?

If this sounds sort of familiar? In July of this year an Islamic terrorist used a similar modus operandi to kill 86 and injure 434 in Nice, France. And ISIS has encouraged its followers to carry out knife attacks.

For all the grief Donald Trump got on the campaign trail for his stance on admitting Muslims to the United States, his solution remains the only one that has a hope of stopping attacks like this and the killings in Orlando. While banning people from the United States based on religion would be difficult to administer, banning immigrants from Muslim-majority nations would be easy and easily defensible.
