It’s a Festivus Miracle! Rand Paul Wins Twitter with his Airing of Grievances
Festivus, the fictional holiday, created in a Seinfeld episode has taken on a life of it’s own two decades later. The mythology of Festivus started during an episode of Seinfeld that included tales from George’s childhood. Fans of the show have insured this pop culture phenom isn’t going away, it might be getting more popular as it ages. The Festivus, for the rest of us, comes with it’s own traditions.
Things you need to know about Festivus…
The usual holiday tradition of a tree is manifested in an unadorned aluminum pole, which is in direct contrast to normal holiday materialism. Those attending Festivus may also participate in the “Airing of Grievances” which is an opportunity to tell others how they have disappointed you in the past year, followed by a Festivus dinner, and then completed by the “Feats of Strength” where the head of the household must be pinned.
Best part about Festivus? It’s based on the real life experiences of one of the writers for NBC.

Can’t disagree with him there. Rand Paul promised his followers that he would be tweeting more throughout the day. You can follow Rand Paul on Twitter @RandPaul, no word on when he’ll be moving to the “Feats of Strength” but I look forward to him trying to pin the head of his household. Dr. Paul seems spry for his age. Here’s to Festivus Miracles!
