Bahrainis Continue Sit-in Protest in Front of Senior Cleric Residence in Diraz

Hundreds of local residents continued their sit-in outside the house of the Bahraini senior cleric Sheikh Issa Qassim in the village of Diraz, completing their 192nd Day of their presence in the village’s streets to protest policies of Al Khalifa regime against the opposition .

The sit-in started when the Bahraini authorities stormed Sheikh Qassim’s residence to hold him under arrest over the content of sermons he delivered called the regime to make social reforms and practice equity amongst the people, Al Manar reported.

Earlier, dozens of people rallied in Bahrain ahead of nationwide ceremonies in commemoration of political dissidents and pro-democracy campaigners killed at the hands of regime forces.

Demonstrators took to the streets in Sitra Island, chanting slogans against Al Khalifah regime and in condemnation of Saudi support for the Al Khalifa regime.

A similar rally was staged under the banner “Our Martyrs Are Immortal” in the Western village of Shahrakan, where participants held up pictures of slain 17-year-old teenager Ali Abdulghani, whose family says died of injuries suffered during a police chase earlier this year. Yemeni Forces Shoot down Saudi Apache Helicopter in Najran

http://en.farsnews.com/newstext.aspx?nn=13951009000957

Yemeni forces shot down a Saudi Apache helicopter in the kingdom’s Southern Najran Province in fresh counterattacks in response to Riyadh’s deadly military aggression. The chopper was brought down on Thursday as it was attacking positions held by the Yemeni fighters, Al Masirah reported. The report further noted that the Yemeni forces destroyed an Abrams tank and killed five Saudi soldiers at Najran’s Qiyadah military base. Three other Saudi soldiers lost their lives in Talah military base in Najran. Two more Saudi tanks were destroyed in Najran’s Rajla military base and southwestern Jizan Region. Moreover, Yemeni snipers killed Saudi soldiers in neighboring Asir Region.

Meanwhile, the Ansarullah forces and the Yemeni army took control of several positions held by Saudi mercenaries in the Sabrin neighborhood of Yemen’s Northern Jawf Province. They also thwarted an attack by Saudi mercenaries in Shabwah Province, leaving a number of the militants dead and injured. Saudi Arabia has been incessantly pounding Yemen since March 2015 with the purpose of reinstalling the country’s former government and crushing the Ansarullah movement. Since then, the popular forces and the Yemeni army have been defending Yemen against the Saudi offensive.

Thursday Humor? Oman To Join Saudi “Anti-Terror Alliance” | Zero Hedge

……………….To be sure, a diplomatic rapprochement would help boost cooperation between Oman, one of the region’s smallest oil producers, and the bloc’s richest members. The GCC is a six-member group that also includes Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates.

But where things get bizarre is that in the Gulf every day appears to be opposite day: the Saudi-led military alliance is a reference to an anti-terror coalition formed last year at the initiative of Prince Mohammed, King Salman’s son, to face security threats against Muslim nations. Apparently, it does this by either bombing thousands of innocent civilians in neighboring countries like Yemen, or simply creating and funding the Islamic State. Recall that in what may have been one of the most significant email discoveries from the entire Podesta batch, in a leaked email sent on August 17, 2014 by Hillary Clinton to her current campaign manager, John Podesta, who back then was counselor to Barack Obama, she admitted that Qatar and Saudi Arabia “are providing clandestine financial and logistic support to ISIL and other radical Sunni groups in the region.”

But aside from providing financial and logistic support to ISIS and other radical Sunni groups, Saudi Arabia is fully on board with the whole “alliance against terrorism” thing.

We next await for Oman to join the Qatari “anti-terror organization”, especially since in the next few years Qatar will be rather stumped at finding out new and more deadly ways of sending its natgas pipeline to Europe via Syria, a venture which after 5 years of desperate attempts to remove Assad and install a puppet regime, has failed following today’s official ceasefire announcement involving Russia, Turkey and Syria.
