Breaking News: Obama Judge Blocks Trump’s Refugee Ban
Fellow Conservative,
Last night, an Obama-appointed judge put the brakes on Donald Trump’s refugee executive order.
U.S. District Judge Ann M. Donnelly ordered a halt to any removal of refugees or others who hold valid visas to enter the United States. Basically, she ordered that anyone that Obama approved for entry must be allowed in.
This just reiterated what I have been saying for weeks. If we’re going to undo Barack Obama’s legacy, it is going to take Congressional action.
Under the law, the President has the legal authority to bar any class of immigrants from entry into the United States. Despite the fact that Trump’s executive order was completely legal and constitutional, an Obama judge just blocked it.
It’s time to finish this. It’s time for Congress to pass the American SAFE Act and put an end to this once and for all!
A year ago, the American Safety Against Foreign Enemies (SAFE) Act passed the House of Representatives with a veto-proof majority. The only reason it wasn’t sent to Obama’s desk is because Harry Reid vetoed it.
We don’t need to worry about the veto anymore. We just need this legislation to pass with a simple majority and put it on Trump’s desk.
Without Congressional action, these leftist organizations are going to keep judge shopping around for favorable judges. And there are so many leftists on the Federal bench that that won’t be hard.
The American SAFE Act would prohibit the Federal government from accepting any refugee unless the State Dept. and FBI certify that they pose absolutely no threat. It would codify Trump’s “extreme vetting” into law.
This legislation would overrule this Federal Judge and help re-instate Donald Trump’s Middle East refugee ban. Overnight, we got word that some customs agents were disregarding the Federal Judge and turning Middle Eastern refugees away anyway. If Congress doesn’t intervene right now, this is going to get a lot messier.
We have waited so long for this. We are finally at the finish line and like clockwork, a leftist activist judge steps in to keep Obama’s agenda on the books.
The votes are there in Congress to pass this bill. It has a super majority of support in the House of Representatives.
Please, join the fight and DEMAND that Congress cut off Barack Obama’s Syrian refugee program once and for all.
