Syrian Army intensifies military operations in Wadi Barada region, west of Damascus

Syrian army to retake control of Wadi Barada

Intensified Infighting Reported among Terrorists in Wadi Al-Bardi

News websites affiliated to the dissidents reported that al-Nusra Front (recently renamed to Fatah al-Sham Front) has rejected the ceasefire agreement after the militants in Wadi al-Bardi of Western Ghouta of Damascus reached an agreement with the army, and the government granted amnesty to many of them in the region.

Field sources reported that the groups affiliated to al-Nusra have launched offensive against the Syrian army’s outposts in Wadi al-Bardi and received harsh responses from the Syrian soldiers.

In response to these attacks, the terrorists’ gathering centers and moves in the two towns of Kafar al-Zait and Deir Qanoun were attacked by missile and artillery fire which killed at least 7 militants.

Informed sources disclosed that infighting among al-Nusra militants has created this situation in a way that some of them have rejected and others have accepted the peace agreement and relocation from Wadi al-Bardi.

A Syrian military official said that all villages in Wadi al-Bardi will return to the Syrian government control, warning that the army will intensify its military operations until full liberation of the region if the terrorists don’t accept the peace agreement.

The Damascus government granted amnesty to nearly 500 dissidents and ex-militants in the Western countryside of Damascus on Wednesday.

The government officials issued amnesty verdicts for 500 dissidents, among them 60 armed militants, in Wadi al-Bardi region.

Ali Mohamed Yousef, the reconciliation official in Wadi Bardi area, said that around 500 people, including 60 militants and a number of draft dodgers and wanted persons, were granted amnesty on Wednesday.

He added that the area will be cleared from weapons and militants very soon and the state establishments will return to the area, in addition to the rehabilitation of infrastructure and the entry of maintenance teams to fix the damage to al-Fijeh reservoir.

Experts believe that given the tendency of dissidents and armed militants in the region to surrender to the army, the number of those who receive amnesty from the government will increase.

Damascus Governor General said on Wednesday that government and militants in Wadi al-Bardi region reached an agreement that will pave the ground for fixing facilities to restart flow of drinking water to Damascus city.

Turks is that you can not make substantial progress toward the west of the city, but active airstrikes Turkish Air Force RF and videoconferencing, in principle, have to create the preconditions for breaking the defense of “black.”
Full-scale offensive in the west has not yet begun. Some of the successes of the Turks and PAS are observed to the east of Al-Bab near Kabaysina, but the rate of improvement is very slow and there, the Turks clearly want to pre-cut Kabaysin from the main forces of the Caliphate and to move to the city from the north-east.

The potential impact of the CAA north of Kuveyrisa where accumulated forces since December. It is possible that the Russian air strikes in videoconferencing Tadifa area in the interest of this offensive.
There is a strong feeling that within 1-2 weeks under the Al-Bab will unfold active events.
