Quebec City Mosque Shooting
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was virtue signaling so hard yesterday morning that I mused about whether President Trump should order the liberation of Canada:

The New York Times wrote a story about Trudeau’s grandstanding which was “aimed at a Canadian audience.” The LORD himself seems to have taken offense:

Last night, there was either a mass shooting or a terrorist attack at a mosque in Quebec City:
“Quebec police confirmed in a news briefing that six people had been killed and eight injured, some seriously, in a mass shooting Sunday night at a mosque in suburban Quebec City as worshipers were finishing their prayers.
Government officials called the attack an act of terrorism.
A spokeswoman for the Sûreté du Québec, the Quebec provincial police, said that two suspects had been arrested. Investigations were continuing but the spokeswoman said the police do not believe at this time that others were directly involved in the attack. …”
It sounded like a rightwing hate crime until reports began circulating that the gunmen had reportedly yelled “Allahu Akbar” during the assault:
“Two students including one of ‘Moroccan origin’ have been arrested for the slaughter of six people at a Quebec mosque which came a day after Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau condemned Donald Trump’s Muslim travel ban.
Alexandre Bissonnet and Mohamed Khadir were arrested shortly after the attack at Quebec City Islamic Cultural Center at around 8pm on Sunday night.
They are accused of opening fire on worshipers as they prayed, shouting ‘Alluhu akbar’ as they sprayed the room of men with bullets.
Six people were killed at the scene and five remain in a critical condition in intensive care at Quebec’s Hôpital de l’Enfant-Jésus. Twelve others had less serious injuries and another 39 escaped unharmed.
One of the suspects, a 27-year-old man, was arrested in his Mitsubishi after reportedly confessing to the shooting in a 911 call he made after fleeing the scene. The other was arrested at the crime scene.
On Monday, the Mitsubishi driver took police to a house on a quiet residential street 10 minutes away from the mosque, Le Soleil reports.
Both of the suspects are students at the city’s Université Laval. The university’s president said on Monday it would cooperate with police in ‘any way’ it can.
The shooting unfolded after a weekend which has seen US President Donald Trump’s divisive and controversial ‘Muslim immigration ban’ spark widespread protests across America. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said that his country remains open to all immigration and told refugees on Sunday: ‘Canadians will welcome you regardless of your faith.’ …”
