(Before It's News)

With Donald Trump’s inauguration just days away, we’re at a crossroads in America. Today’s white supremacists are more likely to wear business suits than the white sheets of the KKK. But these white supremacists are still there—and growing more powerful.

American progressives need the world to step in and support our #FeelThePainBOY travel boycott against the original 13 confederate slave states (North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama, Texas, Florida, Virginia, Tennessee, Arkansas, Kentucky and Missouri) and England. This boycott begins when Trump takes office and doesn’t end until he’s out.

America’s Red States and England think we’ve moved past their history of atrocities. But a fresh wave approaches with Brexit and the election of Trump. We’ve heard Trumpists use Japanese internment (a shameful part of our history) as potential justification for a Muslim registry. Our president-elect has tweeted in favor of nuclear proliferation, in defense of Russia, and not once in response to the KKK celebrating his victory. We see what’s happening and are going to fight.

We can no longer wait years for governments to step in. You can make a difference today. Please consider visiting progressive states, like Colorado, California, Massachusetts, Maine, Minnesota, Washington, Oregon, New York, Nevada, Connecticut, Vermont, New Jersey or Hawaii instead.

Even under president Obama’s watch, we have witnessed black men being murdered in the streets by those who are supposed to protect us. And we expect those numbers to multiply under Trump. This new administration threatens us with mass deportation of immigrants, taking away women’s rights and LGBTQ rights, and fast-tracking the repeal of Obamacare, which would effectively deny 20 millions citizens healthcare. They’ve already stopped a sitting president from appointing a new Supreme Court justice. And even more frightening is the evolving relationship between Donald Trump, Vladimir Putin and Theresa May.

It took the entire world to stop the Holocaust and South African Apartheid. And now we need that global help again. We ask each of you not to visit or support our oppressor’s economy, both as an act of solidarity and for your own safety, which we fear could be in jeopardy if you visit the heart of Trump’s America.
