Disney’s Real “First Gay Moment” Happened Without a Lot of Publicity

(Before It's News)

While our Kimberly Ross so expertly handled the controversy of the first “gay moment” in Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast,” set to be released this month, that’s just the shiny object being dangled in front of the public.

While everyone is deciding what to think about a man who seems to be exploring his feelings for another man on the big screen, Disney already snuck in, with little fanfare, the real first gay moment on Monday. And they did it on the small screen, very subtly targeting younger kids, on a broader scale.

A Disney XD cartoon displayed images of homosexual kissing at a time when most parents have probably set their youngsters in front of the TV – world’s greatest babysitter – while they set about taking care of things that needed to be done around the house.

From Heatstreet:

The Star vs. the Forces of Evil episode featured a scene at a boy band concert, where several people, including gay and lesbian couples, kiss to the music. The gender of various other lip-locked couples shown is unclear.

So would small children pick up on this? I mean, it’s just a cartoon, right?

It’s hard to say, but there’s no denying that the intent of Disney’s writers and animators is to make homosexuality seem like a normal, acceptable way of life, rather than an aberration.

Though this is the first on-screen same-sex PDA, Disney has periodically included non-heterosexual relationships in its TV shows, including a lesbian couple in Good Luck Charlie and a gay couple in Gravity Falls. Viewers also have speculated about possibly gay characters included in the films ZootopiaFinding Dory, and Frozen.

I wrote a piece over the weekend at my second gig with The Resurgent, about a “transgender doll” being marketed to young girls.

The left are becoming so much bolder in their efforts to capture our children. They’re not content to keep it confined to public schools, but now they are attempting to get inside our homes.

Parents must remain hypervigilant.

And it may be time to turn off Disney.

Um, homosexuality IS a normal and acceptable way of life these days, in case you haven’t noticed. My suggestion is that if you are so backward as to believe that homosexuality is an aberration then I guess you shouldn’t marry someone of the same gender. I feel sorry for your kids.

  • good, it’d be sad if the kids got sick watching two boneheads making out

  • st
