Former President Obama To Receive JFK “Profile In Courage” Award

(Before It's News)

Is this some kind of joke?

Barack Obama will not go away. I said this some time back, and more and more we’re seeing it’s true.

Carolina Kennedy, daughter of former President John F. Kennedy, and her son, Jack Schlossberg, will be presenting Obama with JFK’s “Profile in Courage” award.

They will present the award this spring, on the 100th anniversary of President Kennedy’s birth.

This is the part where you wonder if we’re all being punked, or if Caroline Kennedy and her son are just immensely out of touch with the realities of American life.

“President Obama has embodied the definition of courage that my grandfather cites in the opening lines of ‘Profiles in Courage’: grace under pressure,” Schlossberg said in a statement. “Throughout his two terms in office, he represented all Americans with decency, integrity, and an unshakeable commitment to the greater good.”

Because fomenting racial hatred, breaking our military, and sinking our nation deeper in debt is the greater good, I suppose.

The John F. Kennedy Library Foundation began annual award in 1989 to commemorate Kennedy’s birthday.

Obama will join two other past presidents in receiving this award. George H.W. Bush was honored for breaking a campaign promise by raising taxes in order to deal with a deficit crisis while Gerald R. Ford was recognized for his decision to pardon Richard Nixon.

Unlike Ford and Bush, Obama was not chosen to receive the award for a specific decision in office.

Much like that Nobel Peace Prize he got for doing nothing.

People just give him things because he’s Obama, I guess.

May 7, at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum is where the presentation will occur.

Obama is expected to give a speech, presumably to thank all the little people that made this happen.

He could just as well do a comedy routine, since the whole idea of his receiving an award for decency and integrity is a monumental joke.
