The government of Hungary is moving to shut down a university funded by billionaire George Soros. The BBC reports that Central European University (CEU) was designed by Soros “to be a bastion of liberal thought and promote the values of an open society and democracy.” It offers “special courses for refugee students.” CEU was founded in 1991 and has nearly 1,400 students.
Soros, whose birth name was Schwartz György, is a US citizen who was born in Hungary and is of Jewish ancestry. He has a net worth of over $25 billion and funds Left-wing, open borders political causes through numerous organizations in the US and Europe.
Hungary has led the resistance in Europe to the migrant influx and has erected border fences and passed strong laws in the name of defending Western Civilization and the country’s “ethnic homogeneity.” Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has described the millions of mostly young male Muslim migrants who have poured into Europe as “poison” and insists that his country does not need or want them.”
Eastern European countries have voiced strong opposto George Soros’ intervention in their politics.
