Frontline situation in the Lugansk People’s Republic over 24 hours on March 15. For the last 24 hours the contact line situation had aggravated. Altogether, 439 mortar-shells and projectiles were launched on the territory of the Republic. The Ukrainian forces violated the ceasefire 22 occasions.
While shelling the enemy applied artillery of 122 mm calibre, mortars of 120mm and 82 mm calibre, IFVs, recoilless guns, grenade machine guns, rocket anti-tank launchers and small arms. The following localities underwent shelling: Frunze, Sokolniky, Zheltoye, Kalinovka, Almaznoye, Kalinovo, Lozovoye, Nizhneye Lozovoye, Zhelobok, and Knyaz Igor monument’s area. From the Luganskoye locality’s direction, Ukrainian forces fired at the People’s Militia positions in Lozovoye and Kalinovka localities. The localities of Nizhnyee Lozovoye and Logvinovo underwent fire from Mironivsky locality’s direction. The People’s Militia positions in Almaznoye locality were shelled by the Ukrainian side from the Troitskoye locality’s direction. The Kalinovo locality’s area underwent shelling from Mironovsky locality’s direction. There was recorded the use of mortars of 120 mm and 82 mm calibre, artillery guns of 122mm calibre, recoilless guns and grenade machine guns by the Ukrainian side.
Ukrainian forces shelled Frunze and Zhelobok localities from the Krymskoye locality direction. The People’s Militia positions in Zheltoye locality underwent the Ukrainian shelling from Lobachevo locality’s direction. Sokolniky locality was shelled from Kryakovka locality’s direction. The People’s Militia positions in Knyaz Igor monument’s area were shelled by the AFU from Valuiskoye locality’s direction. Over 100 explosion of 120 mm and 82 mm calibre mortar shells and 49 shots, conducted with grenade machine guns were recorded. No loses among the People’s Militia soldiers and civilians were reported. A civilian died and another one was wounded in Zaitsevo locality near Gorlovka in Donetsk People’s Republic as a result of morning shelling conducted by Ukrainian military. Ivan Prikhodko, the City Hall Acting Head reported on this. The wounded is in the local city hospital. Doctors are assessing his condition as serious. Besides, according to the Gorlovka Head, in Zaitsevo settlement there was damaged the residential house by the direct hit of a shell on Poletayeva Street.
Ukraine’s military launched over 500 projectiles and mortar-shells onto 17 DPR front-line localities since the evening. Donetsk outskirts, the Volvo Center area in the north, the localities of Trudovskiye, Signalnoye, Luganskoye in the west outskirts of the capital, Elenovka southwest of the city and also Gorlovka locality of Zaitsevo, the towns of Yasinovataya and Dokuchayevsk were under Ukraine’s fire. Besides, the enemy again opened fire on the south of the DPR, where the villages of Bezimennoye, Sosnovskoye, Kominternovo, Okrtyabr of the Novoazovsk district and Novaya Tavriya of the Telmanovo district were shelled.

Ukraine Army takes losses after botched sea attack

Ukrainian security forces tried to attack the Donetsk People’s Republic from positions on the coast of the Azov Sea from two army combat boats. This was reported today by the deputy commander of operations of the DPR, Eduard Basurin.
“Yesterday, on the orders of the commander of nautical center 73 of special operations of the Ukrainian Navy, 1st Captain Eduard Shevchenko, two combat boats entered the territorial waters of the DPR in the area of the village of Bezymemnoye for reconnaissance and provocation, by opening of fire on our positions. We had to return fire with small arms and anti-tank, resulting in one of the boats being seriously damaged and was towed today “, said the deputy commander.
According to him, after an unsuccessful attack, the enemy saw two killed and three wounded. “The lamentable result of the hasty action of the UAF command again resulted in the senseless loss of life of Ukrainian servicemen”, concluded Eduard Basurin.

…………………What would be the result of a victory of the “war party” (those storming government buildings in Western Ukraine)?And not for Ukraine, which already has no future, but for Europe? In the worst case scenario, this threatens a large European war in which Ukraine and the Baltic countries would play the role of the arena. The armies of Eastern European countries would be the main suppliers of cannon fodder, while the Americans and Western Europeans would distance themselves from active participation and losses in the conflict.
In a plainly bad scenario, there would be avant-garde battles between pro-Russian and pro-American forces in Ukraine with the limited participation of NATO forces and the Russian army. For the West, consenting to losing its supporters in Ukraine would only mean a loss of influence, but for Russia refusing to support pro-Russian forces means losing itself, since NATO would stand on Russia’s western borders and NATO expansion would only continue onwards to Russian territory.
Hence why Moscow will never accept defeat in Ukraine, and will opt for the harshest confrontation with the West if need be. This would not be a war for influence, but a war for Russia’s very survival.
And Russia has never lost such wars.
