Planned Parenthood Trying to Stop Gorsuch Nomination, and That Says Everything

(Before It's News)

The ghouls at the country’s largest abortion provider continue to show their cards, as if we didn’t know what they were already.

Planned Parenthood and its president, Cecile Richards, are absolutely, adamantly opposed to the nomination of Judge Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court. Recently, they’ve ratcheted up the fight against his nomination. This intensity proves that they are only about one thing: abortion.

The Gorsuch nomination hearings will begin on March 20, and PP is trembling. Their latest call-to-action is pro-abort fearmongering at its best, and is titled Everything You Need to Know About Supreme Court Nominee Neil Gorsuch if You Care About Reproductive Rights. How amusing that “reproductive rights” is frequently used by an organization which seeks to stop full-term reproduction when it dares to be inconvenient or unexpected.

A portion of their plea to supporters:

Paul Ryan says he’s “phenomenal.” Anti-abortion activists say he’s “exceptional.” Here’s what we say: Supreme Court nominee Neil Gorsuch is a danger to our fundamental rights – and he must be stopped.

Judge Gorsuch has an alarming history of interfering with reproductive rights and health, including women’s access to birth control and care at Planned Parenthood. That’s all the more frightening now that lawmakers in the House are forging ahead with their legislation to cut patients off from care at Planned Parenthood health centers.

“There has never been a more important Supreme Court nomination. It has become crystal clear that the courts are going to be the last — and sometimes only — line of defense against dangerous and unconstitutional attacks on basic rights. At risk is a woman’s right to control her own body and access health care, the right to vote, and the right of all people in this country to be free from discrimination based on who they love, where they come from, their race, and their religious beliefs.”

— Cecile Richards, President of Planned Parenthood of America

I love the fear that has rooted itself in Cecile’s cold heart. The general histrionics on display are truly amusing. If Gorsuch were to be nominated, women in the United States would suddenly be in the danger zone, and might be unable to control their own bodies! Have access to health care! Vote! Or love who they want to love!

Calm down, Cece, and stop attempting to dress up what you really want to say: “Gorsuch may have a hand in affecting abortion, and we can’t have that because it’s what we LIVE for.” She knows full well that women won’t suddenly be barred from the voting booth or kept from loving whomever they choose to love.

On social media, the anti-Gorusch campaign is in full swing with the hashtag #StopGorsuch.

I like that last one from failed California State Senate candidate, Sandra Fluke. “All of us…deserve better.” Conveniently, though, they leave out an entire pre-born people group.

Planned Parenthood is just one of many on the Left dialing up their opposition to Gorsuch in preparation for next week’s hearing. As far as PP is concerned, however, their opposition rests solely in Gorsuch’s stance on reproductive issues including forcing employers to cover birth control. That is made clear by the following statement from Cecile Richards.

“The right to safe and legal abortion has been the law of the land for more than 40 years, and is a part of the fabric of this country. Nominees to the highest court in the land must make clear that they will protect our fundamental rights — including the right of a woman to control her body.”

— Cecile Richards, President of Planned Parenthood of America

To Planned Parenthood and its supporters, abortion is not just a “right” but “part of the fabric of this country.” Sadly, it’s not merely a murderous option available to American women, but it is woven into our society. Planned Parenthood simply cannot handle someone like Judge Neil Gorsuch, who may help to unravel that thread.
