Trump Supporters Outraged by Decision Not to Prosecute Senator Kaine’s Son for Disrupting March 4 Trump Rally

(Before It's News)

The son of Hillary Clinton’s 2016 running mate was arrested earlier this month for disrupting a “March 4 Trump” event in Minnesota. Linwood “Woody” Kaine and his accomplices crashed the event and used fireworks and smoke bombs to derail the pro-Trump rally. Now organizers of the rally are seeing red because the group won’t be prosecuted.

Protesters interrupted the March 4 rally in St. Paul, blowing air horns, tossing smoke bombs into the crowd and clashing with attendees and security.

Five of the protestors were arrested, including Linwood “Woody” Kaine, 24. The sixth protestor received a citation for disorderly conduct, the newspaper reports.

John Choi, Ramsay County attorney, decided there was not sufficient evidence to prosecute the five protestors, but says the investigation is still “active,” according to a statement to the Press.

Choi also told the newspaper that he was unaware of Linwood Kaine’s relationship to Tim Kaine when he made the decision not to prosecute.

Believing the prosecutor wasn’t aware that an arrested suspect was the son of the U.S. Senator who had just been the Democrat nominee for Vice President feels like a stretch.

On Saturday, Trump supporters disgruntled by the lack of charges organized a rally billed as “Protecting Civil Discourse.”

Irony meter: pegged.

Jonathan Aansted, an organizer of the event, expressed disbelief to the newspaper about Choi’s claims of insufficient evidence.

“I don’t know how you could not charge people after all the evidence police have collected,” he said.

“It disturbs the heck out of me to see we’ve descended into lawlessness. It disturbs me beyond belief,” rally-goer James Brunsgaard told the Press, claiming the protestors swore at him and called him a “racist.”

Oh no. Not that. Say it’s not so.

Another asked: “For what reason are these criminals not being pursued? Is it because of someone’s last name?”

Probably in part, but more than likely law enforcement has their hands full with serious crimes and decided that defending the honor of a few angry Trumpers wasn’t the best use of its resources.

I understand the frustration people might have about this but if they prosecuted everyone who made some sort of scene at a political rally these days we would need to build more jails.
