One of these things is not like the other. One of these things…
Oh, wait. Yeah. They’re the same.
I’m not really sure who is handling the White House press page, but they kind of used an Exxon Mobile press release, word-for-word, to congratulate Exxon for investing in U.S. manufacturing.

Ok.
How hard would it be to just dash out something saying “Thank you for investing in the American worker,” or something along those lines?
This was just lazy.
It’s made worse when you consider that some good is really going to come out of this.
The oil company plans to invest $20 billion in manufacturing in the U.S. Gulf coast region. The White House, following Exxon Mobil’s announcement, praised the move by the energy company.
“This is exactly the kind of investment, economic development and job creation that will help put Americans back to work,” Trump said in the White House press release.
“Many of the products that will be manufactured here in the United States by American workers will be exported to other countries, improving our balance of trade. This is a true American success story. In addition, the jobs created are paying on average $100,000 per year,” the president added.
See? Just like that.
The whole plagiarizing bit was unnecessary.
Really.
Rex Tillerson, the secretary of state, is the former CEO of Exxon. He retired after accepting Trump’s offer to serve in the administration.
