Wrong on all counts guys (Mark Brander and Anonymous. Who else was with Trump at the Southern White House? President Xi of China. This was a message to China and the missiles were launched with Russia’s knowledge. It wasn’t Sarin gas that was used. If it were all the doctors without gloves hosing down kids would be dead. It was most likely Chlorine gas which is widely available. Trump and Russia want to take out ISIS and Al-QuCIAda. Who’s airbase was bombed? I doubt it was Assad’s – if it were then Russia would have to have responded in kind. Most likely this was a rebel/Al-Nusra base where the Chlorine bombs originated. Taking this base out serves both Trump’s and Russia’s stated interests in Syria. As a result Russia also has a pretext to increase its forces there.
What has China learnt from all this? Trump doesn’t need UN or Congressional approval to take action and this is “a clear and present danger” to quote the constitution so Trump is within his rights and the law. This is a message to China to get serious with North Korea because Trump won’t hesitate to respond in kind to NK provocations. If Kim wants to launch missiles then Trump can to.
I’m waiting with baited breath for the Tribulation and Judgement Day like most on this site (5000+ years of Satan’s evil needs to end) but this isn’t the start of WWIII. That begins when Damascus is nuked. The pre-conditions for this aren’t there at the moment but I can see it in the not so distant future. Trump is still on our side. Trump – the “great negotiator” – who reportedly wrote the book on negotiations – could have used his vast persuasive powers rather than waste money and kill people to make his message.
And while Trump may flaunt his power and arrogance, his actions were clear impeachable offenses as he both attacked a sovereign country and maintains an invasion force within its borders without war being declared by Congress.
