Trying to make sense of Trump. The outsider we hired to drain the swamp.

(Before It's News)

I’ve sliced it and diced it and turned it around and looked at it from every angle I can think of, but I still can’t justify what Trump did in attacking Syria. I mean they say that there were only a half dozen people or so that were killed in the attack. In the overall scheme of things I guess that’s not that many people…unless of course one of those people happened to have been one of your family members or friends. I’m really really disappointed with Trump. It’s a real slap in the face, a finding your wife in bed with your best friend moment. Now if you’re a liberal, please don’t go running around saying “I told you so”. When our only other choice was Hillary? Are you serious? We were backed into a very deep and dark corner and at least Trump was a chance. A longshot maybe but a chance!

I certainly hope that I am wrong about all of this. I hope that the strike on Syria was a brilliant geopolitical chess move which we all won’t fully understand until later on, somewhere down the road. He did alert the Russians of our plans ahead of time so that they could get out of harms way. I assume that the Russians warned their hosts, the Syrian government. So not many people were actually killed and I think that the damage was relatively light. So if everyone got warned and the element of surprise that he talks about was lost, then what exactly was the point of the attack? Maybe it was just bluster, a bluff, a distraction-a brilliant political move. I really want to try to give him the benefit of the doubt but in a truly disturbing side note Hillary Clinton herself advocated bombing Syrian airfields just hours before Trump did just that. A thought flashes into my mind. An image of Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton hanging out together, sharing a drink in some smoky backroom somewhere in Washington D.C. Let’s just hope that my mind has run amuck and it’s only a daytime nightmare! Once again though for you liberals that wish Hillary was in charge, well she just admitted that she would have done the exact same thing. Damned if we do, and damned if we don’t!  Jump ahead to the 2:54 minute mark to watch Hillary practically predict the air strike:

Maybe getting involved in politics and trying to fight for good government is a fool’s errand. Maybe it’s just tilting at windmills. Maybe it’s just like trying to build a sandcastle in the surf and as soon as you get something built it gets knocked down and washed away. The trouble is, is that if Trump isn’t it, then there is no “it”.  At least not here in this time and place and realm. Maybe that’s the problem. As long as we’re in this physical realm, in this corrupt and evil world there never will be anything of true and lasting significance when it comes to justice. Maybe trying to build a better world is really an impossible task when you’re trying to build your foundation on sand. Maybe it’s just not the right time…
