We Were Duped and Betrayed Again

(Before It's News)

While most Americans celebrated New Year’s Eve, Republicans in Congress were busy turning their backs on conservatives across the country that helped get them elected.  They completely abandoned their position against taxing and spending.  Instead, they chose to raise taxes for the first time in a generation!

Thanks to that betrayal, 77% of American households will experience higher taxes—all with minimal cuts to federal spending.  Mere months ago, Republicans were fighting back against President Obama’s plan to make $10 in cuts for every $1 in new taxes.  Now, the Republicans have approved $1 in cuts for every $41 in new taxes.  What a nice “balanced” compromise and negotiation!  The Democrats and Obama screwed the Republicans!  In turn, they all (including Republicans) screwed America and “We, the People”!

All supporters of a fiscally strong America should be justifiably furious.  The Republicans sold out.  We must fight back!  We must now begin efforts to hold every member of Congress accountable for his or her vote and seek challengers in primaries and general elections to all those who voted for the unconscionable “Fiscal Cliff” legislation.
