They’re all about free-market competition — unless it hurts the power companies. The attorney general and Florida’s Chamber of Commerce have both joined with mega utility companies to fight a constitutional amendment on solar power that embraces a competitive marketplace.

 

Are Foreign NGOs Rebuilding Haiti or Just Cashing In? Nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) have permeated every aspect of life in Haiti. Because they provide 80 percent of basic services in the country, it’s imperative to include Haitians in the rebuilding process, which could provide extensive employment for those desperately in need.
