Bugging In for the Zombie Shopocalypse – Join me!

(Before It's News)

“Black Friday” found me hanging out at home, working on getting my fodder station beefed up for the winter and playing with a new hobby (quilling.) I spent exactly zero dollars yesterday.
I have been a “prepper” for decades. Every year, I try to look into the future and I place my bet: I think winter is coming. I will prepare for that. So far, my gamble has paid off EVERY TIME. It is like I am Kreskin or something.
This year is no exception. I prepped all summer; watering, weeding, worrying… Then I prepped right through the fall, dehydrating, canning, freezing… It is like my whole world revolves around “prepping.” Funny thing is, I never called it that, I always called it “simple living.”
Don’t get me wrong, I was a Zombie-shopper for a while. I loved the “black Friday” deals as much as any good consumer, but beneath that “normal” shopper facade was this crazy person obsessed with surviving another Idaho winter.
This year, I decided I am going into ultimate survival mode while the Zombie season rages. I have seriously planned this for several weeks now, and feel pretty well set to pull this off. I understand that no one else prepped for this, but I know there are many “preppers” who might at least try to go a day or week in solidarity. It is good practice for a “SHTF” scenario. But here is the fun part: I am the banksters worst nightmare. I am the anti-shopper. I’m not going to the mall, or even to the grocery store.
Between now and Christmas, I am not spending a dime. Not one. I will admit up front to my “fudge factor” – my husband has to work, so he will have to buy gas at the least. I am not forcing him to play along with me, if he wants or needs something he is free to buy it. He works like a dog for those FRNs and he has never been into Christmas, he does not have any penance to do. While I intend to wash my hands of the FRN-churning insanity for the duration of Shopocalypse, I will go ahead and pay my rent and electricity. And if Murphy comes along and S actually HTF, all bets are off. Anything that I find I did not stock up on adequately, I will attempt to barter for. For the most part, I hope to catch up on housework. I spent all summer gardening and all fall canning, this place is a mess!
I will be making a few videos along the way, a few tips for simple living. I invite anyone interested to subscribe to my youtube channel, “amommamust” to follow along. I challenge everyone in the liberty community to think long and hard about joining me, at least for a day. Whether you worship Christ or just happen to be spinning on this rock, it is a time of year for change. While it is a lot of fun to listen to Hudes and Fulford and imagine White Dragons saving the world, I think it is time to be the change I want to see. What I want to see is the dollar out of circulation. For 30 days, in my world…. no FRNs will circulate.
Wish me luck!
