Out of necessity we spend a great deal of time discussing the importance of a Bug-In or Bug-Out Plan of action along with a well supplied pantry and plenty of necessary supplies to make it on your own as long as needed or possible. In addition, we should because it is of utmost importance to have plenty of the needed supplies for the SHTF time. Nevertheless, what about your pets, do you have a plan for the furry members of the family? So do you have emergency supplies for your pets?
The following is a short list of items that your pets may need to ride out SHTF; this list will focus on Dogs and Cats.
* Any medicines or vitamins your cat and/or dog take regularly
* Carpet or floor cleaner for messes
* Carrying crates
* Cat food and Dog Food plenty of dry and canned food (at least enough for two weeks)
* Grooming supplies
* Lots of paper towels
* Make sure you have a leash for both your dogs and cats
* Plenty of cat litter
* Plenty of doggy doo bags
* Plenty of fresh bedding
* Plenty of fresh Water for both your dogs and cats (at least enough for two weeks)
* Plenty of training pads for puppies
* Their toys
* Treats
* Wet wipes for dogs and cats (plenty)
*Plenty of paper towels
*Purchase a pet first-aid kit or put one together yourself, talk to your veterinarian for ideas
You need a plan and bug-In supplies for you and your family and this includes your cats and dogs. Talk with your family members and develop a plan and put together a list of items your animals will need for when the SHTF.
