One thing I’ve learned over the years as a ‘prepper’ is that it’s easy to get stuck in the “if I’m not ready. I’m screwed” mindset, and that’s good, but it’s also a preppers biggest mistake as well.

See, I don’t know about you, but I want to be ready for anything, for myself, but most importantly for my family. And THAT is the big thing here – our families!

Our families are the most important things to us, our family, our friends in some cases and the people we care about in general.

But as a prepper, sometimes we get stuck in the wrong mindset. We get stuck in this mindset that keeps us spending as much time as possible ‘getting ready’ and though we think it’s the best thing for the future of our families, we tend to easily let time with our family slip away.
