Scholarship Money Raised for First Words Society to Assist Children with Speech/Language Needs

Troy, MI (PRWEB) October 21, 2012

eTitle Agency, Inc. was honored in a ceremony on Thursday, Oct. 4 for its charitable contribution of $6,760 to Beaumont’s Hospital’s First Words Society, a nonprofit organization and affiliate of The Children’s Miracle Network, providing treatment scholarships for under-served children with speech and language disorders of which eTitle CEO Linda Orlans is a founding member and president. The company raised the donation by co-sponsoring, with the local Lions Club, an E-Clutter for Kids Drive – a recycling program that recycles and repurposes electronic equipment.

Michael Rolnick, Ph.D., director of Speech and Language programs at Beaumont presented a mock check and praised Linda Orlans and the eTitle employees for their efforts, emphasizing the uniqueness of the First Words Society as the proceeds go directly to needy families. The eTitle team gathered for the ceremony and was commended by Linda Orlans for their generous and giving spirits. Orlans, a successful entrepreneur as well as philanthropist, is committed to finding opportunities to fill gaps in literacy and educational needs.

The eTitle Agency offices in Troy at 1650 West Big Beaver Road will continue to act a drop-off site in support of the E-Clutter for Kids program. Electronic waste items that can be donated are shown on a list below. For more information or questions, and a list of other drop-off locations, contact Katie Groves, Associate Director, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals’ program at Beaumont, at 248-551-3609.
