Compensation Resources, Inc. (CRI) is pleased to announce that participation is now open for the 2012 Board of Directors Compensation Survey. The recent economic downturn has negatively focused on executive compensation, which in turn has had a significant impact on the ability of companies to attract new Board members and retain current ones. This has resulted in the need to ensure that Board compensation packages are commensurate with the increase in responsibilities and overall scrutiny on Boards. Companies should examine their pay practices surrounding Board compensation to ensure that they can provide competitive compensation for members while ensuring good governance and transparency in their oversight role.
